It has some sort of strange wood paneling, a lot of vents, and a control box. The switches seem to say “horn”, “low voltage alarm”, and “am/fm” radio? Was it a surveillance van, limo, taxi, or was it used for some strange profession? Who exactly buys a Ford Aersotar as specialized work vehicle new? The ad only says it was “converted to a specialized work van”, which means the seller doesn’t know. What do y’all think it is?

That is really odd, I can’t think of anything down in Roanoke that would warrant something like this either.

Could it have been some sort of mobile unit for a radio station or something? IIRC, Aerostars were available from the factory in a work van configuration.

This sounds like it could be innuendo.

Yeah, it or limo seems to be the most logical.

My guess is those switches don’t “Do” anything. The box at the left of all those controls looks all the world like a thermostat you’d see in a 30 - 40 year old house. This looks like something my dad would have cooked up to keep us kids occupied while traveling down the road.

My dad’s house has that wood paneling in it. It was popular in the 70's (in place of drywall).

Just a thinly veiled king of the hill reference. That could totally be a dale gribble van.
