One more agonising week until proper NFL. Unfortunately because im gainfully employed now and because UK I have to wait until the next day to watch late games on record. But still, FOOTBALL.
I also got a first hand experience of why people hate Pats fans. Saw a guy in an Edelman jersey so thought, hmm not just in a brady jersey maybe he actually likes the game. He said he only bought it because a friend already had a 12 jersey and he just watches the superbowls. God damn it.

4 days for me! I can’t wait, even if our starting qb wears a “Trainee” nametag.

Interesting to see what he can do though. Rare for an unknown to capture the job like that without having to prove himself in season.

All he has to do is play a bit better than Peyton Manning did last year (and he was NOT good last year; go watch the highlights of the game against the Browns) and they could repeat. My feeling is that the defense won’t suffer from the loss of Malik Jackson and Danny Trevathan as much as the pundits think.

This is very true. It is good to see a team showing restraint rebuilding the QB room (cough Vikings cough) and focusing on the other things they do well. Hell this guy might actually be good, in which case everyone else is in big trouble. Until the Pats beat you in the AFC championship game :D

Not if it’s played in Denver. :)
Actually, I like what the Vikings did. Teddy Bridgewater’s injury was pretty bad. There’s no guarantee he’ll be able to come back from it, though a lot of guys have. This way they have at least an average qb to hold down the fort, and he’s still young enough that they could keep him instead in case Bridgewater’s unable to return to form. Unless Bradford gets injured again.

Ive read into his actual injury and am starting to come around to that way of thinking. Although I still feel they gave up a lot for Bradford. Feel bad for Bridgewater, horrific career changing injury for a promising guy. Its not like were tripping over viable QBs in this league.

I genuinely feel terrible for not only him but all of the Vikings’ players and fans. The only thing close to this situation that I can remember happening to the Broncos was when we had Tony Dorsett at the end of his career and he blew out his left knee in training camp after only one year. And that situation wasn’t even nearly as bad as this.

Its like everytime Gronk gets injured times 100 and everyone freaks out when that happens...

You follow American football?
Somebody tried to explain it to me once and I saw some on television for a few minutes. To be honest, the watching of paint while drying seems a preferable prospect.

Somewhat religiously yes.
Its definitely not for everyone but the mix of strategy and fast pace of play scratches an itch for me.
