Off topic, but what do pre- facelift XJs have against windshields? It seems like they always have cracks.

Most trucks always have cracked windows too... The windshield is too upright when a stone hits it, you will get a chip, and if you don't notice it, it will crack come winter.

BUT- my ‘97 XJ still has its original windshield with 215k miles.
