How is it that I can lease a well equipped 2016 4x4 quad cab !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with a $6k higher MSRP and a perfectly adequate Pentastar V6 (inconsequentially much more adequate than my current Ram’s V8,) for $35 less per month compared to a five cylinder !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! W.T., aka Chevy’s “without things” trim level, and with over $1k less due at signing?

Leases just cover depreciation. I guess Rams depreciate less that Colorados. It also depends on what the lease rate is, because maybe the Ram has a better rate on it?

Ah, interesting. That’s a cool bit of info.

I edited the comment to also mention rates. If two trucks cost the same and one has a 0.99% percent rate versus another having a 3.49% rate, it can also make a huge difference in your payments.

I leased my 2015 Ram 1500 and the monthly payments are under $300 a month for a $41k sticker truck and I paid zero down. Some trucks just lease better than others

FCA has made their money on this generation. Been around the while. They’ve paid off the development costs. So they're more willing to adjust prices to sustain volume where the Colorado doesn't need any adjustments to push volume right now.

It could be that they hold their value as a percentage better than the Colorado, but the Colorado is selling very well, which keeps used prices high, so that’s probably not why. More likely is FCA is subsidizing the lease to help move units.

Did you check other trim levels out too? It sounds counter intuitive but if Chevy is expecting a weak aftermarket for the WT spec cars, then that could put a serious crimp in the residual for that trim.

I found out a couple months ago that I could lease a Maserati Quattroporte for less than a Volvo XC90 Inscription. That was pretty funny.

Full sizes in general lease well. Friend of mine has a 16 Silverado 1500 that he's leasing for $250/mth, $0 down.

Say what you want about Ford sales, but the GM’s are usually the way to go if you’re savvy enough to stay away from certain component suppliers.
