I like your grinders. I’ve had my most recent one for a long time. Great for little stuff.
Shaping wood? Sure.
Precision cut-off wheel? No problem.
Sharpening lawnmower blades? Let’s do it.
But come on. Get real. There’s no WAY an average person is hand-engraving a wine glass with an intricate design with one of your rotary tools.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Of course, dumb nut. What will really happen is either (1) they make fake labels, (2) they make actual labels, (3) they’d draw dicks and titties, or (4) they’d shape it into a murder weapon.

I’ve made glasses out of beer bottles with the help of a Dremel...

Average person? No. But there’s still a market for it.

i’m tempted to try just to see how hard it actually is, but I feel like with all the stuff i’ve done in the past i’d have a better chance than the average person and I still dont think I’d be able to pull that off. maybe I’d get some scratches on the glass but definitely not that design

Nothing says “perfect wedding favor” like a wine glass with a haphazard drawing of a cock and balls on it.

Good chance those people would pop for the engraving tool vs. the rotary though.

It’s OK, 1500grit sandpaper will get rid of those scratches.
Not joking, actually.

I think a great wedding gift would be two flutes with genitalia on them.

buddy haphazardly drew cock and balls on a friend’s car for them to drive away from the wedding reception in. poor grandma is standing there “is... is it a rocket? like they are rocketing into their marriage? I don’t understand”

Especially considering there are acid glass etching kits for sale at places like Walmart.

I think the sound that it made would be enough to dissuade anyone from getting far enough to require stitches.

Dude I saw that and thought the exact same thing. Forget average person, nobody is etching that wine glass with a dremel, especially with a SC grinder stone. Not in a million years.

I recommend living with it. You do end up getting used to it.
#1- While it worked on glass, not sure how well it would work on plastic.
#2- Even if it works, you’ll change the shape of the lens.

Sharpening lawnmower blades? Let’s do it.
I’d only recommend sharpening lawnmower blades with a dremel if they’re already sharp. Those little grinding wheels don’t take off much metal.

I got passable results before I bought a bench grinder. Was able to take out some of the smaller dings.

I’m not sure I’d call my experiences passable. Took far too long for far too unsatisfactory job (at least on my noticablly dull and dinged blades). I finally broke out the angle grinder and got a much better result within a few minutes.
