I saw one at the VW booth at the European Experience(Yeah, they sponsored a stance show), and it looked quite good. It’s a shame it won’t be available with the TDI or even the 2.0 out of the GTI.

A GLI model would be pretty swell.

I really like that. I wonder if I could convince my mom to replace her Legacy with one.

At least it can come with a manual, though I wonder how common they will be. I may have to go drive one to see if it is better than the current GSW which was a giant pile of meh, though it was better than the Forrester.

They're equal parts awesome and equal parts...why? I'm a 16 GSW owner, idk why most of the country needs a lifted version.

*Not yet* it won’t be. Just give it time.
While VW’s shift away from a heavy diesel focus is happening, it will not mean we get no diesels in the future. Just means we’ll have to wait a minute to sort the emissions scandal out before they can resume sales.
Rumor has it that 2018 model year is when we’ll see the resumption of TDI sales.
It would be pretty ballin’ to have the GTI’s gen 3 2.0TSI, though. That thing has awesome low end grunt and more torque than the TDI. Hugely impressive engine to drive.
Now, if they could only figure out how to make that mess of plastic parts fitted together they call a water pump assembly not leak, that’d be great.
