I disabled uBlock earlier today just on Oppo and have yet to have it crash on any Kinja site (not sure why that worked but it seems to have). Of course, now that I type that Nibbles will probably see it and punish me for my insolence...

ACK! You, too? This script issue has totally wrecked a good part of my week. :’(

FWIW, I’ve been back and forth with bugs about it. I’ll forward on this thread because I kind of feared that someone else was running into the same problem since so many people use Firefox and Adblock. For me, this neverending cycle of unresponsive script messages happens whenever comments load, which is ultra-bad. If I scroll too far down and I didn’t disable Adblock, welp, I’m restarting my browser. Again. :(

When is everyone else encountering the problem? Screenshots? Etc.? Any information would probably help them figure out the issue.

Exactly, only happens when I get to the comments. and then it’s all over.

I get similar issues with Adblock enabled on Edge using Kinja, sooo annoying!

Same problem on Chrome with uBlock. Don’t know if it’ll work on Firefox, but waiting a few minutes let’s you interact with the page again.

Same.

FF 45.3.0 on Win7.

Usually when I get to the bottom of the first chunk of comments, and would go to load the next batch. Either an unresponsive script, or if the whole browser locks up permanently, it reports a plugin container stopped.

I am not getting errors but on chrome it lags to the point of being unusable.

I don’t have this issue w/ Firefox and uBlock, but I am also using NoScript.

We identified this issue as a conflict between an ad in the comments and AdBlock Pro. We’ve disabled the ad for the time being, but we’re also in touch with the ABP team in the chance that the issue is on their end.

I don’t get unresponsive scripts, but the page loads in a really broken format and all of the comments end up stacked on top of their stars and the related stories are HUGE at the bottom of the page.

A refresh fixes my issue 99% of the time, but why the hell can’t it load properly to begin with? Turning off my adblocker fixes it, but then the page loads slow as hell with a lot of annoying ads.
