The one in Extreme Speed Motorsports driver and Tequila Patron CEO Ed Brown’s sweet Florida house ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) which has an HPD LMP2 and Ferrari 458 chilling in the background.

His mancave is dramatically larger than my entire cave.

I don’t see a blender there to make margaritas with though...

Ed’s a busy guy, he probably just buys these:

No pool table, no dart board, no ping-pong table, no 72" flat screen with every video game system from Atari on up, no victrolla, no classic juke box, no old vinyls and album covers, no awesome old beer tap handles and bar signs, no ambiguously obtained old street signs and license plates/hubcaps, no tool cabinets for every woodworking and automotive tool known to man, no ratty-looking but absurdly comfortable couch to sit and nap on, no surround-sound system, no 8-track player.
This isn’t a mancave; it lacks the necessary character and charm. This is more akin to some rich guy’s personal nightclub.
Cool? Yes. Just not a mancave.

What patron CEO needs his tequila in his drinks anyways :P Everyone knows the good stuff isn’t imported into the USA anyways. You have to buy it in Mexico.

Here here good sir, I concur wholeheartedly.
Too much has been spent for this to be a proper ‘mancave’. A proper mancave evolves and isn’t just built that pristine.
There’s no ‘getaway feel” to it, just a ‘some of our friends are coming round this evening, shall we move it from the main house out to the private bar?’.

I know the feel, the Ferrari takes up more space just sitting there than I have in the main room in my college studio apartment :( Dude’s gotta find some way to use up all the 34,500sq. ft in the house though.

I get that he’s Patron’s CEO, but an entire full-sized bar stocked exclusively with tequila? That’s some Patrick Bateman level shit, right there.

That’s what’s crazy about houses this size, dude probably has separate dedicated rooms for all that stuff. Like there was one house I was looking at earlier today that had a bar, video game room, movie theater, game room, billiard room, machining room off the garage, “lounge” (buncha couches basically), cigar room, wine tasting room, etc. I’m with you, this place is super-nice but it’s not somewhere where you can go feel at home. Feels more like ESM’s hospitality suite at Le Mans or something.

That’s why, despite being a big fan of architecture, I’ve never cared for huge houses, no matter how beautiful they may be. At some point in time, all the money in the world isn’t going to buy you taste, class, or charm.
Contrary to what MTV and their myriad of reality TV shows like to communicate, beauty in life is found in the imperfections of our world, not the perfections. It’s about taking what you’ve got, scavenging a few things, putting a little work in, and making the best of what’s around you.
More power to this guy, I guess, but I’m not really all that impressed with this sort of thing.

Exactly - a fun mancave may require you to spend a little money, but it requires more creativity and labor-of-love-style physical effort than it does money.

Ikr, if anything that’d be a great excuse to “sample the competitors’ wares” and stockpile all kinds of rare and tasty stuff. Realistically this room probably only gets used a couple times a year, maybe for ESM get-togethers to celebrate Le Mans or the end of the season or for super-informal corporate meetings or something, and they just get a catering company to take care of the beverages, the stuff behind the bar is probably just for show.

I don’t have enough friends to fill that place. :(
It does look more like a small bar/cafe than part of a house.

See I love gigantic houses like these because they’re the ultimate yardstick for measuring a designer and builder’s talents; this house isn’t a particularly great example but there is a definite art (and an extremely difficult one at that) to balancing the feelings of intimacy versus opulence while building and designing a truly beautiful home of this size and making the whole thing (exterior and interior design, sense of space, etc.) work together as a cohesive, beautiful design without it becoming a gargantuan, soulless monument to the size of its owner’s wallet and ego. It’s kind of like the difference between a house and a home, some of these places you look at and you’re like, “there’s no way people actually live like that, right?” and some of them you can totally see a normal family living and doing normal family things in.
That being said I’m totally with you, I’d take an 19th-century Victorian or Cape Cod built by craftsmen over some place like this. At some point the space and money spent just becomes excessive...

Makes you wonder what the dude actually drinks. I mean he has all the Patron behind the bar but the Brown’s a millionaire CEO, he could get his hands on all kinds of rare, awesome stuff if he wanted to.

You’re not wrong, did some digging and it turns out the ‘owner’ of the house is listed as an LLC. Not completely unexpected in terms of how creative rich people get with tax dodging but interesting nonetheless.
