Toaster ovens will not be accepted. Must be a 4 slot.

Which part of this text makes you think it’s a scam? Simply the fact that the text includes the subject of your ad or am I missing something?

Yeah if you look at craigslist scam texts in history on Oppo, it looks exactly like this

Exactly. Historically this is how a lot of scammers in my area start the conversation. Do you type the exact title of the ad, character for character, when sending a text? No however, an automated program does. I would have said, “Hey, do you still have the bike?” rather than “Hey, do you still have the 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250R - $1600 (Cincinnati)?” I’ve never had a real person start conversation like that. In fact, most real people absolutely suck at spelling and don’t understand grammar. They also tend to ask questions I’ve already answered in the ad. When they text like a middle school drop out and can’t read the ad for themselves then you know you’re dealing with a real person!

I usually email, so my subjects are the title of the ad, just because that’s how CL does it when you click reply.
I do hate people asking questions to things that I already posted. I rent my parents properties, and I have people ask me how much is the rent or how much is the security deposit. Infuriating...

Wow, yeah sometimes I won’t even respond to the idiot that can’t even read the price. You know, the thing that’s in the headline of the ad. The thing you see above the pictures.

Everyone has a cell phones these days and area codes are usually irrelevant. Millions of people move and keep their number.

It still raises a flag to me. All the out of state offers on my Miata were scammers.
