The video is pretty awful, but the song is not bad. It almost sounds like it could be on the Master of Puppets album. The mix sounds pretty good as well, unlike past recordings.

The video was weird. Not sure what was supposed to be going on there. And I wasn’t all too impressed with the song itself either. Not saying that it’s a bad song. I absolutely love Metallica, and they’re one of my favorite bands of all time. But this song sounds like one of their filler tracks. It doesn’t feel like one of the powerful, killer riff-filled singles that people know and love Metallica for. There’s no real crazy guitar or drum solos or anything. I guess what I’m saying is I don’t understand the hype behind the song, other than the fact of NEW METALLICA ALBUM IS COMING!!!!!!

This is closer to what started them than anything I’ve heard in 20 years.

This has me chuffed. I didn’t think I could forgive St. Anger but if this is the direction they’re taking? I may have to dust off some of the oldies and prepare.

They’re in their 50s now and this? This is exciting.

Now if I could only grow a mullet again..

I didn’t hear a song, I heard some noise under Lars’ snare drum. It’ sounds fucking awful. Fucking shame.

Not bad. Agree with the mix being better, except the snare drum is waaaaaaaaaay too prominent. At least it’s not muddy dogshit like past Metallica recordings have been.
