Knock the zero off the end of that price and you might have something. And why is it a salvage title? Where will I get parts?

I think GM was forced to set up something to make sure Saab owners can get repairs, but I can't say precisely.

look at how much corrosion there is on the aluminum valve cover. either it’s a flood car or it’s never, ever been parked indoors.

Yes, a manufacturer has to still honor their warranties after they go out of production. Saab and Saturn were both being honored by other GM franchises (it varied by market). But the last Saab warranty expired in 2014. and while you can still call certain GM dealers and order SL2 parts, GM completely stopped selling Saab parts to the general public the day they killed Saab. I remember calling a local Saab dealer the day after the announcement. I needed front springs for a 9-3. these were very common and i knew they stocked several sets. the parts guy said nope, can’t sell em, can’t help ya. I guess GM was recalling all the dealer inventory. there are companies that bought up all the NOS Saab parts so it is still possible to get some of the dealer-only replacement parts.

Image 1: Missing trim passenger’s side front bumper. Spoiler lip pulled loose. Missing driving/fog light. Scratches on passenger’s side front bumper.
Looks like whatever caused the “small” scratch on the right rear hit the front first.

I’m just going to play devil's advocate and say that a lot of Saab's wind up with salvage titles. I think their relatively high parts cost combined with low value on the used market usually means that any amount of damage more than minor and insurance companies write them off. Plus these cars are (structurally) well made so they tend to survive your average traffic accident.

Well they usually had the buffet so I not really sure what he had. Good tipper so the waitstaff fought over him.

I don’t disagree with anything you said. Some cosmetic damage can easily total a car. The salvage title is still a red flag.
