Bonus points for the red heap to the right and the two tone number in the left background.

Blue/white looks like a Renault 16
Red in the background an Alfa 90?
Front: Opel Kadett or its Vauxhall equivalent?

Morris Marina
Two tone is either a Renault R16 or R6 (I’m guessing 6)
Looks like Alfa Giulietta (116)

Is the answer. The Alfa is a Giulietta.

That can’t be a Renault 12, they were all sedans or wagons. That’s a Renault 16 most likely.

Correction, it is a 16 but I was misled by an answer earlier!

Do I see a Nissan Micra (red) in the background there? And there are obviously a white Renault 4 and an Opel Rekord E back there.

Yes, K10 Micras were everywhere once. That picture was taken six years ago so now they aren’t even in scrapyards any more!

I think I saw one in traffic earlier this summer actually, but I might mistake it for a different 80's japanese econobox. Still, they’re not common anymore.

Nope, they tended to rust while you watched. My mother had a couple and my sister had one.
My mother has progressed to the K12 now which isn’t quite so keen to dissolve.
