Set the record of the day in my first race. I forgot how much fun karting was! Second race I was battling out with this guy who definitely goes much more than I do (brought his own helmet) and he managed to beat me in the last turn of the race.

Congrats. I went for my birthday last year and got the second fastest lap for the group and the fastest out of my friends. It's so much fun. Wish it was easier to do. Have to really go out of my way to kart.

This is probably my 3rd time karting. There were no places around me until last spring when this indoor track opened. It's a lot of fun! A little pricey but I enjoyed myself, and so did my friends.

Reminds me that I should look up Jalopnik writer times at Kart2Kart in metro Detroit. They seem to go every auto show. The other week I went again for the first time in a couple years and set a rather good time.
I didn’t set any day records, but Im sure I could take on an auto journo or two.

There was a relatively cheap place near me when I was young. Several different types of karts. Went out of business. I was bummed

I don’t have anything go-kart related to say (although I love it) but I love how that M3 looks.. so much.

There’s something about wide, meaty tires that M3's just pull off so well.

Is that indoor karting with the tighter tracks or the faster outdoor type? I find the indoor type to be difficult to drive since they tend to understeer like crazy. I get so used to the oversteer nature of my Miata that I have pushed straight into the wall a few times instead of the expected slight drift.

Indoor, I did notice some understeer but I started off going 100% so once I backed down a little it was much more manageable. When I was in Orlando about a year ago I found this awesome outdoor karting place. Wish there was a place like that around me.
