I know it’s not anything special, but I love this little car. Comfy, cheap and surprisingly reliable, what more could you want for a first car? And at least it’s not a

I need to paint that mirror cover, at some point. And replace the wheel covers. But that gunmetal pant has a nice shine to it!
Same number of doors and same trim level! But the blue one is a diesel. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an exact copy of my car, believe it or not.

There’s something about Clios. I actually fell in love with the new facelifted Clio Initiale’s seats lol

Great little cars, I have a mk2 Twingo based on the same chassis and my dad has a clio campus. Both been faultless and surprisingly good to drive.

Good job cleaning it! Which engine does it have?
Also, my Twingo is basically the same chassis as your Clio, though it has a slightly shorter wheelbase.

It’s the 1.4 16V! No torque, but pretty smooth and it likes to rev. I love it! Also it’s very quiet because the car was basically built around the much louder diesel engines, so that’s great as well.

They’re so light! It’s what makes them fun, I think.

I consider bring light always an advantage.

Nice, you’ve got .2 litre over me! Renault really knows how to make rev-happy small engines, my engine is also most happy between 3000 and 6000 rpm.

My partner and I were on the Twingo train too! 2008 1.2 Extreme but sadly got rid of it because we needed a more spacious car :(

Ah shame, the extreme is a similar spec to mine, decent cars.

It was surprisingly stable and fun despite looking so top heavy. What trim level is yours? I’ll need to be buying a car soon as my first car here in the U.K. and I was thinking of getting a Twingo for myself but with the TCe engine and a Pan Sunroof.

Expression I think, pretty basic. Since I bought it I’ve installed RS front and rear seats and a good stereo though so doesnt resemble the original spec too much. The TCe is a fantastic engine, drove a clio with it and id highly reccomend it, not sure about the long term reliability though since havent looked into it. Wish Id got a sunroof too. Thatll be a great car.

Yeah that’s awesome! I’ve been following your Twingo build for a while before I even started commenting! Wow I’ll definitely have to try and test drive a TCe Clio as well, I prefer the size of the Clio to the Twingo. Haha if I ever get authorship I’ll definitely post about whatever car I end up buying.

The clio is a nice car too. Not quite as agile handling wise as the twingo but still nice to drive. Obviously a lot more usable and practical as you say. Either would make a good car.
