There’s already a post about this on the FP, but I figured I’d make a post here to distract from all of the doom and gloom. A bunch of Civic hatchbacks !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! - I think these are USDM units.
The wheels seem disproportionately small relative to the body, and I don’t like how prominent the edge between the hatch and the D-pillar looks; these things probably look better from a different perspective, though. The vents on the front and back seem a little too big, especially since they’re obviously fake, but I like their general shape. I still don’t like the hidden exhaust tips on the regular Civics, though it looks like they’re going with a FoST-esque center exhaust for the Si models.
I do like the spoiler that’s been integrated into the taillight, though I’d prefer full-width taillights like those of the Civic coupe. I’m really digging the roof vane, and I also like the blacked-out Solid Wing Face on the front.
Three spoilers, three 458 Italia-esque exhaust tips.
I’m really looking forward to an Si hatchback. The Type-R is gonna look nuts too, what with the giant wing that it’ll get in addition to the taillight spoiler and roof vane.

Wow, you can’t really call the Civic a compact anymore!
Also, what’s the white car in front of the Civic?

I freaking love the 2016 Civic. I'm a Mazda fanboy but if I was in the market for a new car now, I'd 100% look at a new Civic.

Without the large wing from the camo’ed prototype, it looks like a Crosstour. Maybe they should just lift it, and call it a CR-V Coupe and compete with the Germans.

That first picture is a very unflattering angle for the rear hatch imo

4 door liftback?
This is a coupe.

I can see the Crosstour resemblance, but that styling works on the Civic IMO.

Eh, there’s some precedent for a raked hatch.

I’m inclined to agree. I’m hoping that I’ll like it when it’s officially unveiled and we can see it from every angle.

Agreed. It just looks like the hatch is too long with a rather low angle slope. Versus the EF, EG, EK, and even EP chassis, which all had a much more traditional hatchback drop off. This one looks way too crosstour-y.

What’s not to love? It’s a freaking Honda.

I don’t know... the design just doesn’t work for me, both the sedan and this. On the sedan, glass is pulled back too much, not sure why they didn’t just make it a liftback, I’m okay with a 4-series Gran Coupe-esque design, which justifies the pulled back glass. And this hatchback looks way too bulky and the lines are way too busy.
Front looks great, it’s just the back really.
