This is why i always try to have some sort of automotive portion to anything I post not directly related to cars. But I know that even I step beyond the bounds of what I think Oppo content should be, in terms of its level of automotive-relevance

I’m down for off topic, but when it is a controversial topic that will obviously anger some in the community I avoid making it an article. The only way to really avoid these posts in full is to turn oPPo into exclusively cars only.

I’m really torn on this subject though because I really love hearing the success of people in the oPPo community (marriages, kids, new jobs, new houses, etc).

The thing is, even posts about the presidential race don’t get this much shit-a-stirrin’. (Mostly because we can all agree that all the candidates suck) And there are very few authors who will go down the line of silencing opposing views, dismissing opposing views as invalid due to whatever, or downright spewing hatred towards opposing views. One of the great things about America is that people are still able to think what they want to think, without fear of major consequence. That can be used for good or evil, but the good outweighs the evil by far.
