Only 12'000 miles, well looked after. AC ALREADY broken. Not like it’s really warm and were doing 11 hours driving today. Oh wait yep thats exactly what were doing. I already hated this car. Better get it booked in before the warranty expires.

AC problems wouldn’t have happened on a Twingo....

Says the guy who had his fan speed regulator break at 20.000km, meaning a full dash out repair was needed. Luckily I still had CPO warranty left. It’s a 50 cent part btw, so yeah that would have been a bad parts/work cost balance.

I dont even have AC on the Twingo haha. Nor do I on the bmw. I really need to buy a car with working AC some day.

If I roll down the windows the resistance will stop the car haha.

I don’t mind the look of the 107/Aygo/C1 but what really let’s it down is that hideous bit on the centre console with the heater unit, just looks like an afterthought.

Up till now I’ve never had AC, you know where we are there isn’t much call for it, but the Skoda has a tri-zone system and it’s actully nice to have.

Oh right, I forgot you were moving down south.

My uncle told me there will be an European Cobra meeting on/around Hayling Island the first weekend of september he will be attending with either his Cobra or Cobra Daytona Coupe. I don’t know if that is close to you, but if you want the chance to see around 100 Cobra (replicas) at once, I can only reccommend it.

The interior as a whole isnt the best, especially the seats. Ive never had it but i wish i did.

Aaaaand you’re sure it’s not either accidental defect(rock into condenser) OR mistreatment/misuse? Some say you’re supposed to have the AC on all the time to keep it healthy.

It was used fairly often, maybe 50% of the time.

Confirmed. This is a problem with most French cars. Can’t overcome air resistance.

They will just surrender, with the white flag causing extra resistance.

(Joking, I drive a Twingo myself, which is able to reach 170kmh, going down hill slightly)

I think they took the cost cutting a little too far when a simple, heat range dial and a fan speed dial were all that was needed.

Hopefully you’ll be fine with just fans rather than full AC.

God. Over the years, my parents have had more PSA cars than I can count, and only the one’s had AC that consistently and noticeably worked. This must be a more common problem than I thought

Add a German turbo. Something something looking for the reich metaphor.

I'd be more concerned with the steering wheel being on the wrong side of the car

Hoping it’s an easy fix under warranty! Our family has had many cars with A/C, but most were discharged and we weren’t worried about it, so we never bothered to get them sorted. My old Subie had it, but it didn’t work. Current car doesn’t have it at all :)

Water pump on older models (pre 2008 I believe) engines can get very rough as they age if not fully cared for. Can go through clutches quickly too. Otherwise they seem somewhat reliable.

I hired a 107 once, fitted with the automated manual. Didn’t like autoroute speeds much (too small and noisy) but otherwise fine.

Yes, the AMT was fine too despite all the hate they get. You do need to be gentle with the accelerator at low speeds though as compared to a torque converter ‘box.

This one was a manual and actually cruised surprisingly well. The clutch was extremely vague so maybe the automatic isnt such a bad idea in one of these...
