I’m now a graduate of the Proformance Novice School at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA.
I drove my 135i and it performed beautifully. It was a tiny bit terrifying to drive so close to concrete barriers and other cars that fast in my daily driver. So much fun, though.
I thought I was hot shit after doing ok at autocross, but now I know just how much I have to learn. Hopefully I can afford to return to the track occasionally. This hobby of ours is too damn expensive.

Man, that turn 3 looks like a ton of fun!
Also, congrats! It’s such a great feeling to get out on a track and really drive a car.

Turn 3 is where I realized how much I suck at heel-toe, but it was a good teacher. Tons of elevation change there. Turn 5 was where I had the most fun and learned just how fast my car and I could go.

Pacific Raceways is fun. I like Portland International Raceway better. It has a lot more runoff space. Bremerton can be fun, but it’s really just an autocross/cone course setup.
The one I'm curious to try is the Ridge. That place looks great in the pics & videos.

$500 for the single day class, if you use your own car. Spendy, but way better smiles/dollar than most car mods or silly things like rent or food.

Nice. Elevation change on a track makes it sooo much more fun. I love driving at RA, a good amount of elevation change and I really enjoy pretty much every turn at that track.

I plan on slowly exploring the tracks around the PNW now that I’m an expert. No joke on the lack of runoff at Pacific Raceways. There are plenty of trees and cliffs, though.

No kidding. There are plenty of hazards at PR. I’ve only taken the motor cycle there, not my car. I found out I didn’t like more than 120 mph coming into turn 1. Whatever, I don’t race.
Turn 3a is really strange. I wasn't ever really comfortable with it. 3b through 6 though, that section is great!

Another fun bit out at PR is the Pacific Grand Prix track. It's the most fun karting track I've been on. There may be better ones, but other good outdoor places don't have karts for you to use.

Agreed about the turns. The instructor basically told me “you’ll get it eventually” for turn 3a. The rest of that section was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in a car.

Nice! I really need to check that track out sometime, I’ve heard nothing but good things about it from drivers.

Agreed, sir! I’m in Bothell, I may take my Cayman out for some track therapy.

Jelly!
I went to high school in Kent and never got to drive Pacific. I looked to see if there was a trackday when I drove up for my 10-year reunion, but nope. Drag night.
PACIFIC. I MUST DRIVE YOU.

Never heard of that course, but from the picture you posted it looks like a lot of fun. Looks somewhat like the Nordschleife, or the top of Spa. Only track time I have is the Hockenheimring, in it’s current form. Would love to have gone out on the full old track, but as I understand it prior to the course change, track days were limited to a shorter section, so you had to be in a race to do the full course.
I’ve been considering doing a track day at LimeRock, but I’m spoiled from Germany, where it’s show up, pay your fee and go out on track.
But congratulations, on getting some track time. Hopefully you'll get lots more time on track. The first time is generally the scariest, or more to the point, getting ready for the first time. Even though my first time on track was WAY, way over crowded, while on track I was having so much fun all my fears were gone. Later trips that were not as crowded were even better.
