Here’s a 2016 Mazda CX5 Touring that just had its black cloth replaced with Ranch Brown leather. I dig it, especially with that light blue exterior.
The door panels really bring it together. Harsh fluorescent lighting isn’t kind to the subtle medium brown that this car has now - and the incandescent yellow glow of the interior lights make it look really nice.

That tag is bugging me. Please tell me they remove it.

That’s a side airbag indicator.
Like mattress tags they can’t be removed except by the consumer.

Looks like solid craftsmanship, love the color. Speaking of lighting, I've noticed a lot of interiors going to LED lately, and they all seem to default to the harsher color temps (like 5000K or "daylight" etc). I'm a sub-3000k kind of guy. Warm glow. Magic hour. Candlelight. Barry White. Etc.

Man that looks nice. I totally missed that it was your birthday. Happy Belated to you man. Also saw that you got a pay raise. Do you think things will improve with your job?

I like the “daylight” in my kitchen and bathroom. My ex girlfriend called them “surgery lights.”
Anywhere else I prefer the warm yellows and oranges of incandescent. I haven’t bought CFLs in a long time though since Duke Energy sends me a box of 12 every year.

That’s right, I forgot you were in CLT. Duke is awesome, wish we had them here — everybody loves them. I work “in Charlotte” but actually from home 400 miles away. Anyway, free or not, I highly recommend looking for LEDs if you can get them for around $2/bulb (or less). I changed out my 10 most frequently used CFLs and have averaged $15-$20/mo in savings already. They pay for themselves pretty fast.

That’s really nice! How much did it cost to do that? I’m so sick of black interiors.

When I switched from incandescent to CFL I saw a $10/mo savings on my electric bill in a shitty apartment that typically never saw more than $120/mo even in the summer with AC on high all the time.
I could use that extra savings now, too.

If you were to come into the CST shop here in Charlotte and get that, you’d pay around $1000 after tax.

That’s not too bad. My RX-8 upholstery could use a makeover (the black stuff I have is splitting), but I don’t think I can find that much between my cushions.

If the seats are just splitting and they’re not too bad off, you could call a local trim shop. If the leather is still supple enough to sew up you could be out for under a couple hundred bucks depending on the shop.

Thanks for that. I think I’ll take some pics and post them on Oppo to see what you and everyone else has to say. If something can be done, I doubt I’ll get better advice anywhere else.

That does look good, seemed odd that the darker blue was available with the parchment interior but that blue isn’t.
