Escort RS2000 factory header too, helped dad doing this. The car is starting to have trouble with enginebay/oil temps, so this is first step to lowering some of those.

If Roadkill has taught me anything, it’s that the first step in solving cooling issues is to remove the hood.

Too bad it’s not pretty tho. Good thing my engine bay is crowded, when (if) I do headers they’ll be hidden. Gives me the option of not dropping the money on ceramic coated ones. I could never do that if they were exposed.

Looks good, but just as an FYI it’s not a long term solution.

Suits the rest of the car, function > form on the track :)
If it was a street/nicer car i’d have gone for either nice stainless or proper coated ones too

Some say it’ll ruin the headers i heard?

Oh, I understand. And I say function>form too, but when I can have both I’m going to, unless it can’t be seen...

Yup, it can rust them out faster. Moisture gets trapped.

I say it’s beautiful.

I read of NASCAR headers only lasting one race when wrapped, not sure this’ll be that short lived. I’ll make an update post if it turns out to ruin them for sure :)

Nah, on the street it should last a while. Just not “forever” like ceramic coatings.

You’ve got an RS2000
Or an RS2000
Or an RS2000?

Maybe i typo’d and meant a RS200. I wishhhhhhh. It’s the mk5, but he has a swiss Sauber RS2000 aswell, with the (horrible) carbon interior looks

It looks like you defiled an Egyptian tomb.
