Looks like it borrowed a little from Jim Halls Chaparral. Also has a hint of Lola T70 or GT40 looks in the front end.

More like the Chaparral 2 borrowed from the CERV II. As I understand it, Chevrolet basically gave him a chassis/engine that was developed from the CERV program. Had plenty of power but aero was less-than-ideal because it wanted to take off. That’s how he started developing all the aero-centric evolutions of the 2.
