Picked this up at our office auction for charity. Anyone familiar with it? Recommended way to serve or a food pairing? My normal beer selections are not this highbrow, so looking forward to any help Oppo can provide!

Just looked up the price on this bottle from Fullers. £100 (USD$132.38).
The only Fullers I’ve had are London Pride and Golden Pride.
London Pride is a great ale and I’ve no doubt you will enjoy the 2007 Vintage.

Looks like you’ve got something worth keeping also.
Some of the prices in the list above seem impressive, especially some of the rarer ones.

Based on no knowledge other than price, I think you should just enjoy it by itself.

I buy these occasionally. The oldest one I have now is a 2009.
Be very careful with the pour. My first few I poured like any other bottle conditioned beer and had no luck with getting no sediment in the glass. Recently, I’ve succeeded after holding the glass and bottle up to light and not getting greedy. I leave at least a 1/4 in the bottle.
Taste wise, its one HUGE beer.

What’s the shelf life of these? I found one the other day in my collection that I forgot about.

I was worried because the box says something about being obligated to say the best before date (for the 07) is 2010, even though the ale will improve for many more years after that. The Fullers website that Svend posted earlier has bottles going back to 1997, so that makes me feel better.

That is delicious. I picked up one from BevMo once and it was amazing. I’d recommend a cold pint glass though since it’ll cool the ale just right.

I’ve read a 6 year old is damn near guaranteed to be good. Other writings suggest many will survive 10 years. If they haven’t gone off, they only get better. Oldest I’ve had was 6 and it was fantastic.
