Found some TRD stickers I never put on the Rally Tacoma. Someday I will return to the Taco world, but for now I’m in the TRD Ranger.

You should swap out the rear window with a sliding one sometime.

I keep my eye out for one. Just another think I miss on the Tacoma.

Other than having a “real” backseat for people with legs amputated at the knees, why the preference of the Taco over the Ranger?

Both were regular cabs actually.
Tacoma had 4x4. Also got better millage and made the same amount of horsepower with 2 less cylinders.
It’s really all personal preference though. They both do essentially the same thing, and both do it well. The Tacoma just did it better for me.

Or just save money by keeping this 2002 Ranger until I can afford the Tacoma I want and then keep it forever.
The Ranger is ok, don’t get me wrong, but they just don’t scream end of the world reliable like the Toyotas do. That and you gotta look at depreciation. I could easily buy and sell a new Tacoma every year and depending on where I am in the country could get within $1000 of what I paid new for it a year later.
Also it’s worth mentioning the Ranger is no longer made, and while they will keep making parts for them for at least the next 40 years that means the worlds supply of Rangers and Ranger parts is only getting smaller.
