Fun fact, I’ve never heard my car driven by someone else before.

It’s rarely happened for me as well with the MJ. But I’m at least a little familiar with the noise. On many occasions I’ve needed to start it to check something while working on it and haven’t had the keys handy... no need to run upstairs when you can start it from the relay centre with a couple jumper wires.

I normally avoid hearing my cars driven by other people. I get paranoid and conscious of every little squeak and feel like it’s on the brink of exploding.

I can tell you exactly what every tick, squeak, or whatever is. And if there’s a new one oh boy...

When ever I go through a drive through I feel like the whole car is falling apart. The noise just bounces off the wall and sounds horrible. I can’t hear the little things when I’m driving, but there are likely a lot of things I’m neglecting.
My approach for maintenance is only fix things that stop me from driving safely. So brakes, oil, tires.

its a proud moment, when you are sitting there in the far corner at discount tire, and you hear your truck fire up outside....... and then revved...... more than a few times, and you can visibly see the windows vibrate, as they pull it into the bay.........mmmm that reverb......... and the poor kid, that can barely crank the non-power steering, revving it to keep it from dying, chirping the alarms in the lot........ watching everyone crowd the window to see what it is could be making that sound........thats a proud moment........yep they finally got to my name on the list

I ran into an issue where I had horrible back end squeaks then every time I came to a stop I had a thunk you could feel through the floor. Turns out my sway bar ate the bushings. New end link and bushings in and it solved so many noises. It was a miserable fix - as I’m typing on my phone I cracked the screen on while doing so- but it was worth it.

Please tell me you park in parking garages whenever the opportunity presents itself.
“Hey there’s a spot on the street right there, score! Wait, where are you going?”
“Parking garage...."
