Aaaannnnddd this surprises no one. Cadillac sedans handle well and can give you great performance, the Escalade is just that. The smaller crossovers have always been volume sellers here.
Better question is do you/will you get the CT6? I’ve seen soooo damn many in Detroit.

No Cadillacs for European RHD markets... officially.

I was just about edit my post becasue I found the autocar review. So I’ll just comment here now.
Its not RHD but you can buy one in the U.K. officially. But surprise they don’t like it. Apparently a $70k completed loaded CT6 with 400hp is too expensive. Even when a S class with 260hp base price is $70k.
But what do I know, I’m American.

Indeed, what do you know. Well for starters it’s £70K here for the base not $70K fully loaded which despite Brexit still makes a big difference. Also that doesn’t include tax and this being the UK, we have a lot of them in particular, shitty ones towards imports.

Autocar really needs to take out the trim level or put “base” before price. Their site says this:
Cadillac CT6 Platinum - Price £69,990
Unless you will only get the Platinum then I stand by my previous comment.

It won’t be missed. I don’t know of anyone who ever even considered a Cadillac. It doesn’t even register on my radar as background noise, similar to RAM and Chevy (before or since they left the U.K. And Europe).

A European car journalist complaining about a 310 HP engine being gutless may be the most ironic thing I've ever read. Can't you get S-Classes with 4-cylinder diesels over there?

No trims are listed on their website. It just say Starting at £69,990. Plus you can’t actually buy it from them because as I said, you can not officially buy Cadillacs in the UK. Cadillac UK will just help you import whatever you want but that will incur massive duty charges and taxes which will make that £70,000 car into a £140,000. Like I said shitty towards imports.

Did some google-ing. It is official, but only through one dealer. Costs 70k, but it comes fully loaded and the only option is color. Clearly they realize it wont get many sales so they made it real simple for the few who do want it. Still for the few that want it, seems like a good deal.
The CT6 is only available to order in the UK through one dealer, which is based in Virginia Water, Surrey. There is one engine option, a 411bhp 3.0 twin-turbocharged V6 petrol with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. There is also just one trim level, Platinum...
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
... the Cadillac comes fully loaded as standard, with the only option being colour.

I’ve gone over this website many times and I still can’t find the CT6. Still they claim to be the only official distributor of Cadillacs in the UK so I guess I shall take their word for it.

What they mean by that is “It’s not diesel”, really. Everyone’s just conditioned to expect the extra torque. 271lb/ft is only slightly more torque than the 4-cylinder diesels in most things, and these large luxury SUVs tend to have V6 diesels which have about 250-300 horsepower but about 400-500 lb/ft.
