Don’t mean to turn Oppo into the GD classifieds, but if you or someone you know is interested in an ‘09 135is, give me a shout. 88k miles, 6-speed, M-Sport package (mostly brakes and emblem doodads), fresh brake pads, coil packs, and spark plugs within the last 10k miles. Car is in Dallas.

Upfront and only cons: Hood is slightly misaligned in these pictures as I just got the windshield replaced and haven’t yet readjusted the hood, front bumper has some rash due to a lot of highway miles, and passenger rear bumper has a bit of a scrape from a parking garage incident as detailed below. Interior could also use a detail, which I’ll be giving it shortly along with a polish and wax, will also replace the flaking steering wheel cover ($30 or so).

I would never purchase a car from someone who doesn’t vacuum their carpets.

If you don’t bother with that, how do I know you don’t fill it up with 87 octane?

That’s not a 135is, the 135is was only available for 2013.

My sister & I have been looking at 128's & 135's and are in the Ft. Worth area. We both have E36's. Let me know what this is being listed for.

Doing some research, they seem to have made some in mid-2012, I believe they sold them as the 2013 model year though. Regardless, you are correct, that is not a 135is.

Right, 2013 model year.

I had a 135is and it was built in I believe November 2012. Can’t remember the build date off the top of my head.

The car in this post says 135i right on the back, not 135is.

Seriously? Nobody wants an M-Sport car with a manual, 300hp that’s the size of a shoe? Wow.

That was the impression that I was under, but every VIN decoder I’ve used since owning the car spits out 135is in the model name.

The stack of gas receipts that I keep would be the easiest way to know that it’s not filled up with 87 octane. I don’t have an excuse for the lack of vacuuming, it’s hot, I’m lazy, and I wind up with a lot of grass in my shoes after golf.

Hey it’s a pretty big shoe, I can almost fit in the back!

I don’t know why that would happen. I had a 2013 135is. The 135is was essentially a 135i M Sport with different wheels, BMW Performance Exhaust, and BMW Performance Power Kit 2 installed at the factory along with 135is badges. For VIN purposes it was considered a higher trim of 135i, not its own model. Most of the time when running the VIN it showed as 135i.

Run your VIN through http://bimmer.work/ and see what happens.

$12,500 is what I’d like to get for it; dealer offered $10.5k in trade-in value on my wife’s new car, so I’m willing to talk on anything much north of that.

Yup, bimmer.work is where I’ve run it through, pops up as “135is - USA”.

In any case, it’s a 135i with the M-Sport package, which is distinctly different from the 2013 cars that were badged 135is.

How do I know you didn’t replace the windscreen because it got smashed up by an errant golf ball?

I thought maybe it could’ve been an errant club instead.
