For the ATS-V Black, +, Supersonic, or whatever else they’re planning to call the thing, I think it’s time to bring the LS7 into the LT generation. Can you imagine 7-liters of direct injected pushrod-fury spinning to 7000rpms pushing out 500+ hp? Giggity.

I’ve always loved the LS7. I just hope we see it in some form again soon.

LS7 had 500 horsepower without DI, and with DI the LT1 comes very close to it with just 6.2 liters and less of a rev range. So a hypothetical “LT7" which had DI, 7 liters, and 7k rpm would probably be good for 550+ horsepower, and crazy torque down low (where LT1 also matches LS7).

Just leave a single port injector in the manifold to keep the backs of the valves clean. And give enough fuel overhead for the aftermarket to go nuts...
