Also, the DTS is not a bad highway car. Not by a long shot. I don’t like it *quite* as much as my (soon to be former) car, but it’s comfortable.

No, I was on I-29 to Lewis & Clark lake. Only saw one LEO during the entire there-and-back trip, passed him doing 90, he gave no shits.

It is boring as hell compared to the mountain roads of Appalachia or anywhere else. The speed limit is just good for covering ground quickly and not spending as much time being bored as you do in Iowa with speed limits at 70mph.

Being from South Dakota I’m obligated to tell you that it’s much less boring off the interstate, but you kind of have to be in a relaxed leisurely mood to enjoy most of the state and all of the little towns you pass through. But yeah, if you’re just trying to cover ground, hit the interstate and hammer down, there are a couple nice spots when you cross The River, and make it to the Black Hills, other than that, pretty boring.

I think it’s got a lot to do with the shock factor from driving through all that nothingness, then it pops up, basically out of nowhere, with little indication that it’s even there.

Definitely. I think located in a coastal state Chamberlain hill wouldn’t be anything special.
