And just take it all in. It’s a quiet and relaxing place to be, I do need to do some cleanup on the bench this afternoon as soon as I’m done cleaning the bike. Don't fret my sockets and end wrenches are all in my tool box.

I just finished cleaning and organizing my workshop so I can start on my dual sport project with my kids. It's cathartic.

Mud and sand are great for mechanical systems. It’s a common misconception that you need to clean your bike.

I got caught in a rainstorm on the way home so there is road grit everywhere.

Sometimes I would say I'm going to the garage to work on the jeep, lay down, look at stuff under there then take a nap.

Not really. I'd rather be driving it occasionally. I don't think I have for about 6-7 years. That makes me sad, but it's still mine and I keep it in a garage for when I'm ready to get back to it.

Sometimes I move from project to project and neglect to put my tools away. So every few weeks I try to have a “sit in my garage” moment to catch up.
After a few minutes of sitting down, I start getting restless and I kinda pace around, putting things in their proper place, and reorganizing some stuff. My favorite part is re-rescuing the workbench from being a catch-all storage black hole, into a usable workspace again.

I do that in my backyard sometimes. Right now I'm doing it in my pub because it is 110F outside.
