Emma’s favorite tool is the impact driver. She has good taste.
I really need to get that kid a power wheels.

That's some good parenting right there. Lately my daughter's favorite thing is to sit in the drivers seat of my truck or my FILs UTV and pretend to drive. We took her for a couple of low speed rides in it and she loved it.

Awesome helmet — definitely an OSHA-approved work environment. On the tool front, I finally got my son (almost 6) to where he can drive a nail straight into wood using a 1/4-sized hammer. Nailing is becoming a lost art.

great pic, good pareting indeed. Get them started wrenching (or hell just hanging out with you in the garage while you’re wrenching), when they’re young and love spending time with you regardless of what you’re doing :)

Yes!! I’ve got my oldest helping to build her treehouse now, and she loves “fixing” her little bike too. Nice work, dad!

Thanks!
That’s awesome. We don’t have a spot for a tree house, but I do want to build them a playhouse. I need to get her to help :)
The other thing she likes to do is grab a small screwdriver from my toolbox and “fix” the lock.

I have countless pictures of this one behind the wheel of anything she can get in. Gotta start them young!

Found the helmet on the curb with two girls bikes, one the right size for her, and one a bit bigger. Rich people have the best garbage! Actually that kids work bench in the background of this pic was another curb find.
Nailing is indeed becoming a lost art. I am impressed that a 6-year old can do that! You are a good teacher!

That’s the plan, so far so good!
Everybody who tells me we need to try and have a third kid, so I can have a boy to help me in the garage, can take a long walk off a short pier :)

Nice finds! I can’t believe people just throw stuff away. We donate almost everything that’s even semi-serviceable to women’s & children’s centers. There is so much need, but also so much excess, and still people just clutter up landfills for no good reason.

We donate tons of stuff too. We can’t stand keeping stuff long enough to have a garage sale.
