It’s really a perfect introduction to classic car ownership. You get some style, use, and fun without paying $40,000 on a restored muscle car. The slant 6 is dead simple to work on, still has parts available everywhere (Autozone stocks the mechanical fuel pump).

I’d say NP as a Sunday driver/ weekend project car. And it includes body parts, which are like hens teeth (they had to change the body every model year to stay hip).

Wow it doesn’t look that bad underneath. Those rear quarters are pretty rusted.

Upon further inspection this thing is way better than mine. This guy did basically everything I plan on doing eventually, refresh front suspension, new radiator, replace all the wear items that are original from 65'.

If I was smart I’d buy this and ditch my Dart, but I have a sentimental attachment to it and can’t sell it. How can you get rid of a car that has been in the family since 1965? Also I personally like the 2 door hardtop better than the convertible. I used to have a Saab 9-3 convertible, not fun messing with the top.

A bodies are good cars. Like Slant6 says parts are available and they are very easy cars to work on.

Need more A bodies in the thread so here is one of mine.

I painted it in John Deere yellow about 20 years ago.
