First the Yamaha then the Ford. Price on each engine assembly (dealer net prices only, no labor). We gave a couple customers heart attacks a second ago. I just LOL’d :]
AND GO!
EDIT
Yamaha: $14,995 (without oscillation damper)
Ford: $36,833

I mean, it’s just two duratec V6s welded together to make a V12. So... $16,000

Haha, from what I understand the basic block design is based on the duratec V6. The heads were designed and made by Cosworth though.

Just shocking. When VW discontinued the W8, one of the most complex 8-bangers in modern history, they sold them off at $4,000 in a crate. Several V6 and 1.8t owners snatched them up for investments and/or engine swaps. But even then, I think they were only about $8k new.

If you add the price of those two engines, you could buy my truck brand new, my wife's CX-5 brand new, and you would still have enough left over to buy my beater Roadmaster.

What engine does the Z4 have? Is it the M54 or N-series? Either way the manual versions are super-easy because of the extra space that would otherwise be occupied with the transmission cooler and pulley-mounted fan.
