Shouldn’t the middle letters be HA*?
*edit: in being crass I just realized it says ha as in laughter when I was going for horses ass. Now I’m the latter.

are you referring to the bit in the circle in the middle? it’s the CarThrottle logo which is meant to represent a gated shifter

Best way to guarantee your E39 won’t break - don’t drive it.

Again it was a joke. Guess you’ve never seen the Conery comedy skit?
Lighten up Francis.

ROFL. Yes!
Although we’re all probably so desensitized to the gong that none of us would even notice.

You never get phased by *gong* CHECK COOLANT LEVEL OR FRONT FOGLIGHTS. You do crap your pants when *gong* TRANS FAILSAFE PROG happens.

Truth. But unless the a-drum snapped like most of them do on the 5hp24 transmission, it’s probably just low voltage.
Does get the heart rate up though.

Its always low voltage. I just wish the 5hp30 had a underhood dipstick.

Yes, the 5hp30 is much more durable. Worst case on that one is usually valve body check ball related, from what I hear. Usually effecting reverse I believe.
The 5hp24 is without a dipstick as well, since they’re both supposed to be “lifetime” fluid. Semi annual fluid and filter changes are my preference though.
For what it’s worth there used to be a dipstick retrofit kit available, but am unsure if it is still in production.
