My brother and I decided to head up to Hanging Rock State Park and hike.
The roads leading to the park are super twisty and in pretty good shape, but there's usually someone in front of you driving below the limit to keep you from too much fun. Happy 4th Oppo.

Nice. IIRC, some of the best multipitch trad climbing in the eastern US is right there. Quartzite is not my favorite — too slick. But I love some good exposure, even if it's just on a hike.

It was a cool experience. I kind of wish it would have been clearer to get the full view, but the lack of sun made for a cool day. I'm very much a novice at this kind of thing, but I like being outside.

I tried to go back packing, but my friend backed out on the medium 11 mile hike to a camp with hot springs and a cold creek. But we still had fun running around, but I am sad I didn’t get to go back packing.
