Still trying to find all the parts for this beast. Can’t wait to start actually building the thing!

That looks cool!
You know you can make custom Lego orders, right? You can just specify what you need. Here you have the link for France:

Yeah yeah I know, I use
BrickLink
! It’s less expensive that the Lego site, and the costs add up pretty quickly. It’s just that some part used in that set are pretty hard to come by, or in rare colors. I’ve got about two thirds of the parts right now, I just need to spend a few hours searching for the ones left (which can be a bit tedious), and then this McLaren glory shall be mine!

Good luck finding those rare parts! Is this a user designed set? Because some of those look absolutely amazing.

Yep it is! It’s by Rosco PC and he’s an absolute genius. He sells his instructions, so I just had to. Hardest part is to pick the one you want to build...

Wow, this guy is great! The Williams FW14B and the Brabham BT52 are amazing too.
And I’ve never seen a website like his, I like it, a lot!

I’m very very tempted by the FW14B. But I guess it’s like project cars, it would be unwise to start a new one without finishing the current one... Plus getting all the parts can get pretty expensive.
And yeah that website looks cool. Took me a bit to figure it out, but it looks very nice!

Couldn’t resist. It has already cost me about $150 in parts though, and I think I’ll just come shy of $300 to get it complete. But I still think it’s worth it, those sets are just incredible.

Still a MUCH better deal than the goofy Porsche set. Good on you!

While I do think that the Porsche set is amazing (doubleclutchgearboxomggg), yeah these are a relative garbain. Plus they are pretty unique, I can’t imagine seeing many people having the same set! Having to source the parts and dealing with sometimes unclear instructions can be a bit of a downside. Still an incredible piece, that’s for sure.

Hey Clemsie! I bought the same plan a year ago but couldn't figure out how to buy parts. Do you have any insight? Thanks!

You can buy the parts here:
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/main.page
I did have to select all the parts one by one, from the parts list that comes with the instructions. But apparently there is a way to automatically add all the parts you need to your cart, but despite some research I couldn’t find out how, so I just picked them up one by one on BrickLink, on the same individual store (BrickLink is basically a place that links individual stores). I picked a store that seemed to have both good prices and most parts I needed and ordered the ones it had. Now I have to repeat the operation for the parts that I’m still missing.
It’s a bit time consuming, but again, I couldn’t figure out how to do it more efficiently.
I think it’ll end up costing around $300 in parts, for info.
Good luck on yours!

You too mate! Can’t wait to have it finished, it will look glorious. Then I’ll just have to refrain starting a new one!

Same designer has an Eagle T1G plan. I did not need to know this.

And many other amazing models. Dude is a genius. And yeah, those kinds of cravings are hard to fill...
