My boss (king of this topic) explained how a carb worked to one of our younger techs and being like a toilet. While very simplified, he isn’t wrong. I just found that very entertaining.

I don’t mind them. Not as nice as a Weber by any means, but I can tune most Solexes with a pocket screwdriver and nothing more. Pain in the butt when the throttle shafts wear out or the bases warp though.

Idk much about carbs, but the quadrajets have problems with pieces warping from people over tightening screws so that makes some sense lol
