Kinja'd!!!

I’ll take a new 747-8 Intercontinental, (and settle for a nice low miles 757.) Sexy planes hand built by some of my neighbors.

Look for a blurb about Boeing’s first airplane on Thursday’s Aviation History post. I was interested to learn that Boeing didn’t stay in the aviation business very long. He was pretty much done by 1937, and the company didn’t really hit it big until WWII.

I still hope to fly on a 747 one day. The 787 is fantastic to fly on though.

Happy birthday to everybody at Boeing except the jackasses who decided to move to Chicago! My great-aunt started working there during WWII and retired around 1980 or so.

Looking forward to it!

EAA announced that they'll have a 747-8F at AirVenture as well as a gathering of Stearmans. To say I'm excited would be putting it mildly.

Me too, always wanted to fly in a 747. Don’t know of it will ever happen they seem to be getting phased out.

I recently retired from Boeing after 18 years of service. I would encourage anyone interested in the impact Boeing had on the Aerospace industry to watch the “Age of Aerospace” series that the Discovery Channel produced in conjunction with Boeing. It’s really worth the time.
