I already did. I have one on order (It won’t be shipping until at least August) but I am going to my local store to buy one before canceling my order. I want it in time for Le Mans.

On Lego’s website it says that they it will ship in 30 days. I might snag one at the LEGO store in Nashville when I go in July though (if they have them). Although 9.25% sales tax on a $300 item doesn’t sound fun...

If they have a physical store in your state you are going to pay sales tax anyway. I am going to my store and canceling my order as it would probably be getting to my house at around the same time I am returning to college.

Well yeah, that’s true. So I guess I will do it then. No waiting and no shipping cost either.

I really want to order one, but I just can’t justify it. I can either pay 300 for this magnificent piece of LEGO machinery, or put that extra 300 dollars into paying off one of my school loans earlier.

Much as I want to go the fun route, I just can’t. DAMN YOU RESPONSIBILITY!

I’m going to my local store anyway.

Call in advance to check if they have any and have them hold one for you. Lego stores have a 24Hr hold policy.

Honestly I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m making more money in two weeks than I’ve had at one time in my life. Not used to having this much disposable income at all.

Nah. I don’t plan on upgrading the 4Runner seeing as I only have it for two more years.

I’ll definitely do that when the time comes.

Savings- look to the future where you have a nice fat fall back account, little debt and a solid financial footing.

Also pay back people who helped you out in the past.

I would still have plenty left if I ended up getting it.

It is really important you budget some fun money too, and if this is how you spend it, I think you’ve made good choices lol.

I was supposed to be responsible but I now own a “German” car and ordered one of these. Oops.

I second this, I ended up making really good money with the job I took out of college. Let’s just say I had enough excess cash to pay off my M3 in 13 months, but I also saved a lot. Now thanks to the crash in the oil market, I find myself with out that job, but I’ve still got all that money I saved so it really lessens the stress of having to find something, it’s always good to have something to fall back onto in times of trouble.
