I think I love it? I mean... it sure is pretty. But there are a few things that don’t work very well.
First test-drive sketch.
The stylus is better than the Surface Pro3. Which is a low bar.
Speed: great, so far, but i don’t have Solidworks on it yet. Time will tell.
The keyboard is nice enough, but the keys need way more weight.
The execution, especially the hinge, is AMAZING.
The screen size and response is pretty much what I’ve dreamed about for 15 years. So, that’s pretty good.
THE THING THAT KILLS IT:
The keyboard isn’t linked via bluetooth to the screen. So. You take the screen off to draw, and
YOU NEED ANOTHER GODDAMN BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD.
You gotta be fucking kidding me, Microsoft. You did all this, then you do that.
Fuck:
Me? You?
ARGH

If I’m not mistaken the Surface Pro 2 still had the wacom digitizer, so it’s supposed to be better than the Pro 3 in terms of stylus.
Still waiting on a paycheck so I can buy a used one (some accounting error pushed be back a pay cycle). They go for under $400 with 8gb of ram used on ebay.

I used to recommend a Motion tablet to everyone who was interested. Mine lasted 8 years. Win XP, CS2. Wacom screen. It was pretty much perfect. The tough thing now is the OS— you need win 10 or you’re just pissing away money and effort. Wacom’s tablets? Fuck em. Expensive and terrible ID.
