It was time to rip the bandaid off. Too many conservative (union member) police stalking me looking for an excuse to give me a ticket. Too many middle-aged white ladies cutting me off, preventing me from yielding and high beaming me. I couldn’t continue to live my driving life in constant fear that a deranged Wendell Pierce might come across me on the freeway and lose all grip on reality.
Residue free, at least. Even in this small way, the campaign was looking out for the little guys, I guess. I pulled it off filled with sadness; I won’t have a good choice to make this November. Perhaps someday I’ll get to vote for a major party candidate that I agree with policy-wise to the same degree, but I doubt it. Money wins out in our politics, over us, so I’m surprised he even got this far. RIP Sanders campaign, 2015-2016. Hello Corporate Hill vs Coward Failure Trump, 2016-2017.

Prob more likely to find him in a picket line or march, actually. I hope I someday have that much energy again, he’s lived a grind in the last year that I wouldn’t make it through a week of. That goes for all the candidates that made it to the end.

I’m a pretty nice driver generally, letting pedestrians go by, letting people merge in, not tailgating. Guess I should have put it on the front instead of the back... :P
I hadn’t had a political bumper sticker on my car since early in the Iraq war, when I had an anti-Bush sticker on my car. Two tickets in a month... I finally realized what was going on after an officer waited for me in a parking lot, then followed me for 6 miles through the city before giving up on me making a mistake. I expected that, the road raging from other people is bizzare though. I don’t get pissed every time I see a Trump or Hillary sticker, or start tailgating people... just bizzare and unexpected.

I’m wholeheartedly supporting third party candidates this year. Voting third party (Johnson or Stein) sends a message that the two major parties are failing to represent a significant block of conservatives and liberals, and need to adapt or die. Also, if the Greens or Liberterians get to 5% of the vote they get federal funding. Honestly, those two minor party platforms capture more directly what truly liberal or conservative views are, much better than our two corrupted major parties.

The real key, in terms of percentages, is Johnson getting the 15% he needs to be included in the debates. That will be the biggest blow to the Dems and Reps, because $hillary and Drumpf will actually have to defend their policies rather than just sling giant piles of shit at each other.
It’s not a completely unrealistic chance that Gary Johnson could be the next POTUS. I do think it’s highly unlikely, and would be a major battle, but if he can get on the debate stage there is a not insignificant opportunity. The real positive outcome from that will be helping people realize that they don’t need to pick between the lesser of two evils, which will hopefully translate into a much better election the next time around. This could be the LP’s opportunity to start moving in on the Republican Part’s floundering position.

Voting for Gary Johnson just as I did in 2012. The two major parties are pathetically out of touch with the American people. I liked that Bernie wasn’t an “establishment” candidate but I didn’t support the economic ideas of his. Socialism doesn’t work. Look at Venezuela.
But, even more than that, I don’t support anything Trump does or says because he’s a narcissistic idiot and Hillary is just so isolated and out of touch, it’s sad. I can’t have someone represent me who doesn’t understand the way life works for the vast majority of this country’s people.
American politics suck.

This is why I never put any bumper sticker of opinion on my cars. It’s really not effective advertising either, based on how many shitty drivers are out there with stickers, that make me not ever want to share their views.

I’ve heard that there were potentially millions of provisional ballots handed out in California that still have to be counted. Apparently there’s over 18 million registered democrat voters and only 4 million votes had been counted?
Apparently damn near everybody at UCLA was given a provisional ballot, despite showing valid proof of registration. Some sketchy stuff going on, for sure.

Socialist policies, based on a system where you have a firm understanding of global economics, economy of scale, and beaurocratic overrun can be successful on a National scale. I tend to be more liberal, so I see some of the success stories, like Denmark.
I get the skepticism that it wouldn’t work on a scale much larger than that but I also happen to be a proud American where I think if another nation’s able to do something we should be able to do it as well and as efficiently. We’re failing on healthcare, higher education, infrastructure, banking, taxation and international business because we’ve sacrificed them on the alter of crony capitalism. I’m cool with having pure capitalist systems, ones that actually drive down costs, but that’s rarely what we get in these for-profit government institutions. Instead we get the revolving door, and our GDP soars as corporate profits for a few chosen companies rise on the backs of taxpayers, who subsidize the whole mess through their taxes while they also pay directly. I’d rather have the government handle it directly rather than the inefficient, expensive, “capitalist” systems we have now. I’m skeptical of any positive change in those areas of the government while money is allowed to dominate “speech” in politics.

I disagree with socialism on a broad scale. I don’t want the government that much in control of my life. That’s the libertarian side of me.
But, I also disagree with the crony capitalism we have going on. You are correct in that it only benefits a select few. Pure capitalism works. It's just impossible to find.

Bumper stickers suck in general. I’m glad it came off clean. The pig of a truck cruises best at around the speed limit, so I wasn’t worried about being pulled. The rage... DC metro thing I’d guess.

Pure capitalism is great with a *little* management. Wage floor I’m cool with, for instance.
I’m a capitalist in most areas, but we’re spending so goddamn much, getting so little, in the biggest GDP in the world. It’s tough to even start a business in our economy. Calling America a “capitalist country” is as much a ruse as calling it socialist, we’re neither, and both are far better than what we have.
