Just curious. I think these are pretty interesting cars, and they’re a great value on the used market. For less than 20k you can own a low mileage example. You get legendary Lexus reliability, 340 HP/TQ, and a luxurious interior. Not a bad deal! They look great lowered, and sound gnarly with an exhaust:

Meaning of life: solved!
Yeah I’m having a lot of fun DDing my current V8 Japanese yacht, and if I have to upgrade in the future I’d definitely consider one of these

I looked at finding one, also looked for an IS350 that hadn’t been beat to hell. Was less than successful. Good luck! love those cars.

You are correct sir. The answer to life is 42. G=7 S=19 19+7=26; 2;6; 6-2=4
46.0 - 4 = 42 = Meaning of life.

That is the best gen for the GS. Best looking one ever. Also my mother has one in that nice wine red pictured above. If I need a beater in the future I’ll buy it off her.

Currently 13 on Autotrader. One of which is a 2009. 12 is 2008.
They had this package back in 2010 called the Interior Accents package that was special edition in Canada and Japan, but just a regular package in the US. There aren’t any numbers on that, but when I really searched for it back in 2011-2012. I think I saw one 2010 GS460 that had it. Around $33,000 back when I saw it. Probably THE unicorn of Lexus unicorns.

As cool as they are, I think that GS460s carry a stupid premium. Like they are special, but at what point are there better alternatives.
Low 20s for a 2008/2009 is LS460 money. Same engine. More luxury. Otherwise it can cost less to get a GS350 that would just be more than enough power.

GX470 on the other hand.... It’s nice. don’t get me wrong. But it has 2 major problems. 1 is size. I cannot fit anything into it.... (I got this and got rid of suburban). 2 is kick. When you stop, something somewhere in drive shaft kicks/bucks/shifts... something... and I don’t wanna fix it till it stops driving and it’s a common problem... and yes I lubed the oil nipples.
Ahhhh! I think GSs are nice tho. loved those things forever

I’d recommend a GS450h. Almost as fast, much more efficient, and noticeably cheaper.

No, partly because of Direct Injection = Maintenance (intake cleaning.)

It is. Took it to a dealership. They wanted to sell me a new drive-shaft. I decided I can live with this one until it shatters. I’m not made of money to keep replacing solid rods of metal in car for no reason. They can suck a bag o dicks

Early LS460s had traditional mechanical suspension instead of air suspension if I remember correctly. My dad’s 2008 has mechanical suspension.
-whispers- but yes. V8 all day.

The lowered one? No. The GS460 in general? Oh heck yes. I have a soft spot for those cars.
