“RARE CLASSIC”
No and no. Especially when your top doesn’t even have canvas and is just some frame.

He wants five figures and there’s not canvas for the convertible top!? Amazing.

For a 5 figure asking price, I would at least expect full information. He doesn’t even indicate the mileage.

Why waste your time with that when you can get a Turbo V6 mid-engined Cabriolet for less than half the price?
Insane mid engine VW Rabbit Mk1. GM V6 turbo*-$6500*
Crazy 1979 VW Cabriolet. This car was built on a 1988 Pontiac Fiero chassis. It is powered by a 2001 GM 3.8 V6 3800 supercharged series II. However, the supercharger has been removed and a Holset HX40 turbo has been added. The turbo sits above the decklid. The car is no longer front wheel drive. It is now mid engine rear wheel drive. Obviously lots of time and money went into the build. The car is registered with current tags and runs and drives but has a long way to go to be perfect. Probably making about 220hp at the moment. Has the potential for 400 rwhp with bigger injectors and fuel pump on the current stock long block. Has a 4 speed automatic with overdrive. Call or text for more details. I can give you a link to the build thread if you are interested. Clean title in my name and in hand.*
$6500
Ad has since been removed, but here is the build thread.

Clearly, he wants 150k.
That's gonna leave a mark!

You are incorrect sir, he does mean $15,000 (lists it in the body of the ad besides in the title. I think “RARE CLASSIC” just about covers it.
Wikipedia says that in Indiana “rare classic” has a different meaning than in the other 49 states.

Maybe he didn't adjust the price for Daylight Saving Time. Because Indy.

Yeah, I'm not even sure that's worth 1500. And what's with the red centercaps? Looks like his wheels have clown noses.

Being from Indiana and having seen many a ad before I will definitely agree with that.

I thought we were bigger at heroin than meth.

Well heroin is the next step for a lot of the pill poppers I believe. I know for sure we are the meth capital though. I'm unsure on the heroin front.

It's a "rare" classic. Rare, as opposed to "well done..." :)

I just bought a 1987 VW on Friday. I did not spend $15k.
