I just bought a 12 pack of Heineken and a 6 pack of Tsingtao, because I enjoy them more.
Some people enjoy their beige Camrys.

Is this “I’m so much better than Zoidberg” day? I got some Kona Lava Man around but nothing beats Dogfish

Heineken..
Enjoy..
More..
I’ve.. I’m.. I.
WHAT??
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love my crappy beers. I’m sucking down some Bud Lime right now and have a twelver of Keystone lying in wait. I’m practically a Conneseuir of garbage Beer.
But Heineken?
That’s the only beer I’ve ever had that managed to smell and taste skunked at the same time.

I would pay to drink one dogfish 120 minute before having unlimited access to free Heineken. Because dogfish head is great and Heineken tastes like sewage.

Curiosity but what’s your opinion on bourbon/scotch/etc? I find I love the smokey, oak, vanilla flavors of them but I can’t handle the overly green flavor of IPAs. A little green sure, but full on IPAs kill my tongue.

The best part of living in the Mid-Atlantic is everyone sells Dogfish and it’s cheap.
Second best part is Yuengling is cheaper than water. When I was in college, there was a pizza place that would sell a pint of Yuengling and a slice of pizza for $2.

I’m on the other coast, and Dogfish is crazy expensive and sold only at crazy expensive places. Still worth every penny.

I can’t really disagree. I think I developed a taste for it from traveling. It's crap, but it's reliable crap, and they sell it literally everywhere in the world.

I’m not a bourbon fan, but I’m a big fan of scotch. My go to is Glenlivet 12 year, which is cheap and reliable. But I also tend to always keep a bottle of Laphoaig, which advertises itself thusly:
I feel similarly about IPAs. I’m just not into hops like total beer snobs tend to be. Fetid moss distilled in big water? Sure. Hops? Not so much.

I had a good Dutch friend almost stop being my friend when I brought Heineken to her apartment.
When you’re young and poor in Manhattan, $2.50 40s you can buy from a bodega all taste acceptable.

My local beer shop had a couple bottles of 120 in stock. I’ve had almost everything else Dogfish sells in the Richmond area (Burton Baton being the only other exception) but I could never find the 120. Hopefully they still have one Friday.

Tsingtao is great..... so long as it’s in a can. I just can’t do green bottle beer. That’s just me though. If you like it, then that’s cool.

That was my experience. I saw it for the first time ever a few weeks ago, so I bought two bottles and decided to just keep one, since supposedly they age well.

That’s actually a random photo I found. I drink my beers from random wine glasses, because I'm classy like that.

Ahh! Perspective.
I highly recommend giving Magnum Malt Liquor a try. It’s basically High Life Ice.
Good flavor, thick head and the foam drapes the cup/glass like a premium Beer as you drink it.

I’ve sadly since moved to the suburbs, but I’ll try it anyway just to relive my glory years.

Let it age for a while, the high alcohol content will blow your head off unless you sip it like a scotch. Plus it’s basically made to be aged for a while.

Someone else told me that about them. I bought a bottle of Fort, which has 20% ABV. The alcohol taste drowned out the flavor. Perhaps if I’d let it age awhile it would have been less terrible.

My favorite Dogfish Head beer is their Chicory Stout.
