Kinja'd!!!

(Have this lovely 280Z for your time)

Yesterday I was woken up before my alarm clock because my hands were in pain. I thought maybe I had slept on top of them strangely, but it has become apparent that every joint in my body is somehow inflamed. I’m between doctors so it’s a few weeks until I can get an appointment but they’ve reassured me that it will slowly go away. Meanwhile, I’m whining to you all and debating ordering food. If I’m forced to be lazy I might as well go all-out, right?

Also, if this is Lyme Disease, northern Louisiana better prepare for revenge.

If your hands are in pain, how are you typing this?

Lyme can be nasty, a friend of mine lost control of her legs due to it (she didn’t know she had it and it had progressed over a year or two). It was temporary and she is back to walking and everything normally now, though with the help of a cane on occasion, but it also took a few months of physiotherapy!

Welcome to the life of an autoimmune sufferer. Make sure your doctor checks your ANA levels and SED rate. If you need someone to talk to that’s been through it, feel free to contact me.

A friend of mine in Independence La once told me that pretty much every plant and bug wants to hurt you somehow out there. Any truth?

Oh, and he regularly has to burn his lawn because of Fleas.. Fun!

Can you get ahold of some anti-inflammatory drugs ?

Oh god. Fleas aren't something I think of as an outdoor nuisance. Eeeeeek.

This is what I'm worried about. This is totally out of the blue. Really hoping it's just a fluke thing. I can deal quite well with pain with obvious causes but this has been a frustrating couple days.

I have a friend in my line of work who has been dealing with it for a couple years, though nowhere near that bad. I hate ticks. I didn't find any specifically but I could have easily just scratched one off not paying attention.

Exactly how mine (and my sister’s) started. Woke up with achy joints.

Luisiana... ouch. I’d guess the damn bugs too. Get it checked out Asap, lol, doctor or not. Also, hope you can find something for temporary relief.

Aka clinic or urgent care, as terrible as I feel recommending that...

That was so strange! I really couldn’t figure out what was going on. Was mostly asleep and so confused over why it hurt to roll over. My left shoulder is a total mess, I think an old minor muscle injury has gone haywire due to everything else but it’s actually sort of difficult to steer the car.

Sorry. I feel like most of the local world thinks this is just an attempt to get out of doing...everything...when really I'm pretty fed up with it.

I know where you’re coming from. I’ve been dealing with issues off and on for about 12 years. There’s good days and bad. I initially thought I had an allergic reaction or the flu or something.

Do you live around there? It's totally awesome to see a car on oppo that I've seen in real life

I’m in Denver.

And yeah, the weirdest was someone spotted my car when I was driving and posted about it (because of my Oppo sticker). Small world :)

I have an unhealthy fear of Lyme disease. I get ticks on me from time to time. Comes from working outside with animals. Luckily it's rarely deer ticks.

Ok, don’t hesitate to incur a small debt in the shorterm, when the longterm could be at stake if inaction is the action :)

I caved and called again to try and beg a doctor’s appt - they're still saying 4-6 weeks. This sucks. Time to move to Canada (I'm only half kidding).

Are you in college? I was when mine hit...I went to the college health office where they diagnosed me. Also, urgent care might be worthwhile if you’re hurting badly.

Out of college. I don’t think urgent care will help much, though I’ll try if I get desperate. They usually just try to send me to the ER or my own doctor (granted, most of my visits to urgent care are because I realized I broke something a few days prior). I’m not really one to take pain meds so they probably couldn’t do much anyway.

I was told to take NSAIDs if my joints are hurting...it doesn’t do a while lot for me, honestly.

And quit breaking stuff!
