PatBateman: Hey guys, I was told that I’m interning here for a few months!

Kevin Smith: Fantastic! Great to meet another comic book fan!

PB: Well, I mean, I’m not really a comic book fan...

KS: Really? Well, okay, you’re not a fan of ALL comic books, but what’s your favorite comic book?

PB: I don’t really have a favorite. I’ve never owned any. Or read any. Ever.

KS: So you don’t like Comic Books...

PB: Correct.

KS: ...and you’ve never owned any...

PB: Right.

KS: So what in the hell are you doing here?!

PB: I have a movie coming out, and I’m desperate for any and all attention.

KS: Oh, you mean like when Jesse Eisenberg was on Top Gear?

Seriously, he was so fucking awkward and annoying. Extra Gear was one redeeming thing about this whole show. I was surprised that Rory - one amateur of the group, a guy hired because he applied for a job - was probably the most comfortable in front of a camera.

The absolute worst was when Gordon had to ask teleprompter guy to move closer. Anything that was working with the situation was instantly destroyed.

Yea, but TG has a history of this. For example, Johnny Vegas was a legendary visitor, but he had no license or experience (or interest, as I recall). Yea, there was probably some shillery going on, but it’s certainly not outside historical patterns.

Rory has been on YouTube for years, he probably feels somewhat at home in front pf the camera but still the audience would have made it scary.

Yeah, his youtube experience vs recording a tv show is like playing Forza and driving on track. He still did really well. Only person as comfortable was Chris, but he is so annoying. I hope they fire him after this season and replace him with someone worthy of the show.
