Toured Fort Pickens this evening. Fascinating.
Also, I’ve decided not to contact insurance about my run-in last night. There is a scuff type mark on the lower part of my mirror, but you can’t see it unless you really look for it. And, it’s a daily driven car so I’m sure there will be more. It’s not worth the fight nor is it worth having the entire mirror replaced. Life is full of “scratches.” Sylvia’s can just match mine. It helps that the other mirror has a scuff too so my heartbreak over the first new car scratch has already passed.
Please don’t talk me out of my decision. I’m actually proud of myself for not freaking out about this anymore.
And, I trust exactly no one in my town to do the work necessary to replace the mirror. It involves removing the door panel and the glass and all that crap. Plus the wiring for the blind spot monitor. Nope.
