You guys remember how Verstappen broke a wheel off at Monaco last year?

Well he just did it again in Q1. Tagged the Armco in 15 with the front right and then plowed straight through 16 into the wall.

I was excited to see him drive too. :/

Oh well, GO GROJEAN! GO HULKENBERG!

Yeah, too bad he will be starting from the back. He broke the linkage in 15, so he couldn’t steer away from the wall in 16.

Someone does not understand that track like this tend to be harder on cars... I haven’t checked and I don’t know what turn 15 in Monaco is, but let me guess.... The chicane that he tried to cut waaay to much?? or maybe that right turn with the apex/rumble strip in the middle of the corner (and by middle I mean middle of the road lol)?? These are the only place I could see on that track that could destroy a car like this lol

nah he ran up the back of Ro Gro under brakes into turn 1 if I remember correctly. late in the race.

Well he was still definitely at fault, but the laps leading up to it he was the only guy making the race interesting. (at least from what we could see on the broadcast)

The irony was Ro Gro calling him out on the radio after it when it was a typical 1st year Grosjean manoeuvre.

Yeah, I was just referring to the initial contact with the Armco that broke the track arm. He definitely broke a lot more when he went straight into the next wall. Haha

Not really comparable though, is it? Today he ever so slightly caught the barrier on the inside of 15 and broke the track rod, leaving him doomed to stuff it in 16. Last year Grosjean braked very early for T1 late in the race and had Max run into the back of him. Max was blamed initially but after a bit of controversy over fault most of the critics seem to have now said that RoGro was trying to check Max to throw him off, which was a dumb move.
