I've heard oiled filters screw up air sensors. Never used one myself.

Oiled filters are OK when used properly. However:

- My brother had one and didn’t use it right. Over oiled and didn’t clean the MAF. Went through an engine and a transmission with all the sensors fighting each other.

- I don’t trust myself not to make the same mistake.

- K&N do flow better, but they let in a TON of impurities. AEM looks like the best balance available.
