I also just spoke to someone who knows what they are talking about at Myles Standish. They do have public use grills so we can go there afterwards for a cookout. I know some said they would bring games and another a giant thing of pasta salad.

Got it fixed by Tuesday night, it was ridiculous. The idle control valve was nestled completely out of sight in the crook between the intake and the intake manifold (intake dives down below cylinder level and then turns upwards into the manifold). I had to disassemble the 8-million piece intake all the way down to the throttle plate and then remove what felt like 50 brackets to get access. The hose clamps had to be done by feel, the engine bay is so cramped that on a few of them the only way to have room for a tool was to have them on the bottom of the hose facing backwards.

I aced my inspection the next day though. The guy found nothing wrong.
