Under Armour Shoes?

Anyone have experience with them? My everyday Nikes were getting a little long in the tooth so I went out the other day to get some new ones. I’ve had very good experiences with Nike over the years so I fully intended to just buy another pair, but these Under Armour Micro Gs caught my eye and the price was right so I snapped them up.

Anyone had UA shoes before? Do they hold up and stay clean well? I tend to take pretty good care of my shoes and I’ve found that Nikes seem to hold up the best. Heck, I just threw away a pair of 13-year-old Shox that I’d been using as lawn mowing shoes. Anyway, I haven’t taken the UAs out of the house yet, so they’re still returnable. Just wondered if any of you had thoughts.

I’ve never had a pair but my wife and kids all wear them. They’ve held up very well to my son’s abuse. That’s all I can tell you with any degree of certainty.

A guy at work wears them and loves them. I’ve never had a pair.

A guy I lift with has worn the same pair for a while. They hold up fine to his abuse so I’d say go for it.

I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of Nike flyknit shoes, but UA also caught my eye. Let me know how it goes for you.

Based on a little walking around the store and house, I can say that the UAs are definitely just as comfortable as my old Nike Frees.

I had a pair of UA running shoes when they first came out. I liked them at first but hated them by the time they could be replaced. This pair didn’t have a tongue and I didn’t like that feature. I imagine they are better now. My last 4 pairs of running shoes have been Mizunos and they have been fantastic.

Every time I’m shoe shopping, whether for gym, outdoor running, walking, I usually come across a pair of UA shoes worth checking out. But every time it comes down to buying they never make the cut.
It sounds like you just want them as casual shoes? So comfort and style are likely top priority, after durability as you’ve asked. The style can be seen online easily, but comfort you should definitely go try them on.

It might be a bit overkill for casual shoes, but if you go somewhere like The Running Room, they can do a foot ‘analysis’ and get you into the right shoe, not just the right size.

If you’re running I’d definitely do that ^^.

I just bought these as a casual shoe, very comfortable. Put around 30km on them walking this past weekend in Chicago. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01…

Can’t really judge for how well they stay clean (I tend to be around a lot of mud) but they hold up pretty well. I get new shoes every year (I go through them walking everywhere at school) and have had 3 pairs of under armors. I am usually able to keep the previous years shoes as a backup pair for the next year. Last year I tried a pair of Nikes and they disintegrated after about 8 months compared to the UAs. Overall I have been happy.

I actually have the shoes on hand. They are quite comfortable. I did a running analysis at a local running shoe store a few years ago and I actually ended up hating the shoes I got there (a pair of Adidas). These UAs feel a lot like the Nikes I’ve been wearing for the last 3 years and they were fantastic.

I’ve been wearing a pair of UA shoes for the gym for the past year or more. They’ve held up great. YMMV

I’ve had a few pairs. Sometimes the styling is a bit out there, but I have no complaints about the shoes themselves.

Shoes go on your feet typically...
